Genalyte wanted a logo that was modern, not too formal and had direct meaning to their product.

The concept for their logo mark is light moving on lines and circles. It's a representation of their how their technology works: light literally moves down a line to a circle where it spins around. (It's all on a wafer where the light is reading data).

The blue color spins around the logo mark, signifying a spectrum of light going from light to dark.

The logo is shown here in its horizontal & vertical formats.
